We began as 'People Before Profit Funerals' in 2016, making this our 10year anniversary. Andrew started the business having worked for a large funeral company where he became aware of over-pricing and misleading cost's and he felt that families were being emotionally and financially exploited. So he decided that he would do things differently, by treating clients with honesty and transparency, and with the compassion and understanding that a grieving family deserve . The ethos was simple, 'People Before Profit'
Yes! Not only can we help with applications for assistance from the DWP and Funeral Finance Companies, we will also work with you ourselves to make sure that financial worries are not added to your bereavement journey.
Because we have to pay out money on your behalf prior to a funeral taking place, such as the crematorium or cemetery, and a celebrant or vicar for example, we do respectfully ask for a modest deposit to cover these up-front costs. This is typically £1,500.
well, that depends. Typically it's due 48 hours prior to the funeral taking place. HOWEVER, if you anticipate difficulty with this we can have a chat over a coffee and arrange a payment plan with you over a few months.
